Kevin John Donlan, 64, passed unexpectedly on Monday evening at his home. He was born April 20th, 1958 in Livingston, NJ, the son of John Donlan & Rita Brown. They resided in West Saint Paul, Minnesota. After the passing of his mother, John married Gertrude Peterson.

                Kevin graduated from St. Thomas Academy, Class of 1976, where he was the captain of the hockey team. Following graduation, he attended university at North Dakota State University and excelled in hockey. He received his Master’s in Pharmaceuticals in 1983 and began his 30-year career in the industry where he was well respected. After graduation from North Dakota State School of Pharmacy, Kevin worked at the VA Hospital, from there he was a sale representative at Eli Lilly and Company. He ended his career as a partner of Viking Health Care Solutions. Kevin joined Viking Healthcare Solutions in 2004 as Partner and was critical to the continued growth and effectiveness of the organization. Prior to Viking, Kevin was the VP of Pharmacy Industry relations at United Health Care. He was the President of Ingenix, Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes, a division of UHC, now Optum Insights. Kevin was also a director at the PBM, DPS – now part of Express scripts.

                He married the love of his life in 1998 in Utah, adopted her two daughters, and had a son together. They celebrated 23 years of marriage this past summer. The family moved to Philipsburg, MT in 2005 and invested time and love into the community they called home. Active in Rotary, Kevin’s pet project being the local ice rink in homage for his love for hockey.

                Kevin was known for his dry sense of humor and his organizational skills. He organized the national Donlan Turkey Bowl and other family sports and events. He was an avid photographer, fly fisherman, and music-lover. He had many passions, including spending time with family and being home, and last but not least, taking care of his lawn.

                Kevin is survived by his wife, Connie (Stanton) Donlan, his son, Andrew John Donlan; his daughters, McCall Hannah (Brown) Donlan & Madison Claire (Donlan) Nienhuis and her husband and son, Jacob & Magnus. His brothers: Tim Donlan, Michael Donlan and his wife Kari, Daniel Donlan and his wife Jacque and their two daughters Clare and Katherine; as well as his sister Sharon (Donlan) Allison and her husband Ted and their son David and his husband Clayton, and daughter Colleen and her husband and two daughters Nate, Ella, and Cecelia. He was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends as well.
